Isa 53:2, For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground; He hath no form nor comeliness: and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we shall desire Him…… Just by reading and looking at this scenery I cannot imagine how terrible and extremely marred the loving Savior physical body looked and may I add in intensifying pain as well. But I can only imagine it through the visual scriptures before my eyes, my bible tells me that Jesus had no beauty that can be desired. If that’s so can you imagine not loving on Him and having feelings for Him because He wasn’t attractive to our physical eyes and senses at all?
The Bible also said that many were astonied at Him; His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men. Lord Jesus! that picture right there let’s me see that the Roman soldiers had beaten You so brutally that Your physical appearance didn’t even looked human to me. “Jesus was beaten for us” our sins were the one who marred and scarred Your face and body to the point of unrecognition.
Isa 53:3 says, Jesus was despised and rejected of men: a man of sorrows, Jesus was acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. In other words we had no highly interest in Him. So what was it? How we became drawn to Him, what was it about Jesus that we shall flock after Him now? Well my Bible tells me that in John 6:44 that no man can come to Me, ( Jesus ) except the Father which hath sent Me ( Him ) draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. So yes we did took great interest in Jesus who is the Christ our Lord and personal Savior, not because we desired Him, but that He desired to be with us for the scripture say that God with us Matt 1:23.
The loving Savior loved us all the way to His death on the cross He desired us because He loved us and the Father drew us to Him through the Holy Spirit. How do we know that we have taken interest in God’s only begotten Son Jesus? Because the scripture said in Isa 53:4, surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did hallelujah! esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. In verse ( 3 ) it said, we esteemed Him not. Is the verse contradicting itself? No! God will never go back or against Himself. The Bible says we esteemed Him not, in other words we had no highly favor upon Jesus until we read verse ( 4 ) where it talks about Jesus Borned our griefs, and carried our sorrows, listen! up people all over Jesus took our griefs and sorrows away everything that we saw and read in the word of God that was done to the physical body of Jesus that had us feeling that way against Him He took that unwanted part not having a desire for Jesus away from us hallelujah. The rest of that verse in Isa 53:4 says, yet hallelujah thank you Jesus yet we “did” esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
So therefore by the reading of God’s holy word we did esteem Jesus we highly value and favored Him above all else, we believe Him and yes! desired to know and be with the loving Savior who has already risen from the grave for you and I so that we may have the right to the Tree Of Life hallelujah glory to God. He did it for us, the Bible says He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed Isa 53:5 hallelujah the end result, we see Jesus Christ in His glorified body in the most explicit sense most beautiful of all only the spiritual eyes can behold this kind of radiant beauty.. Behold our King…
Make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life today, if you haven’t already peace and blessings to you Amen 🙏
